People from all kind of religion does their worship freely in Arsuz  which was  made hosting to many nations got various belief  along its history. The Muslıms, Christians, Jews and Ermenians are all live in one within other and peace. The mosque, church and synagogue has been continue their existences and functions side by side. The belief differentness in Arsuz has never been problem because of the community has common culture, these differentness was accepted as a richness of the cultural construction.

Approximately in every town and villge of Arsuz  mosques are available, tombs,  that suitable to our religious belief and traditions, are available beside  to these mosques as well.

THE CHURCHS

Our Christian citizens dont have many places to  worship, especially because of  them are collected together in Uluçınar and in its surrounding towns and vilages.

There is a church ruin in this region around Hacıahmetli village, the Christians come here to do ceremony every year.

ST. HANNA CHURCH:  Many monk and bishop lived in Arsuz and around to spread Prophet Jesus’s doctrine in the beginning of the Christianity. One of them was St.Hanna who get a church built in Uluçınar (Arsuz). This church is still used, which is called with its founder and located in the centrum of Arsuz.

 

THE TOMBS

HIZIR ALEYISSELAM TOMBS: These are located in Karaagac, Nardüzü, Madenli, Akcali and Ulucinar. There are tombs whose  reached  to the Saint’s level, served for he humanity , distinguished and its holiness becoming  stable.

SIH MUMAMMET GARIP TOMB: It’s located between Ucgulluk and Madenli towns. Kadir gecesi, (the night of power) which is celebrated in Ucgulluk town, is spent with worship in this tomb. Nobody do any work, neither sweep inside nor in front of their houses  in the night of  power.
